Or Shalom and SFI have embarked on a deep and long-term journey to leverage data for strengthening the work of managerial and professional teams across the organization. Following a comprehensive assessment to identify strengths and gaps in data-driven work, we developed a multi-year action plan to bridge these gaps and enhance processes across all dimensions of the organization's data strategy: culture and leadership, result-oriented work, technological and data infrastructures, skills, and operational routines.
As part of this initiative, we established an organizational Data Leadership Team to drive and integrate data practices across all units. Advanced technological infrastructures were implemented, and data-driven workflows and learning routines were developed to ensure continuous improvement and informed decision-making
Data-driven work helps Or Shalom in optimizing management and operational processes. Data collection on program activities and the well-being of children and graduates enables continuous learning and ongoing improvement.
Customized information systems, reports, and dashboards, along with structured data-driven workflows, empower managers to closely monitor the status of children and graduates, balance workloads, meet reporting requirements, and enhance organizational professionalism.
Aligned with our capacity-building approach for civil society organizations, the Or Shalom team continues its data-driven journey, leveraging the strengths and knowledge developed over the four years of this project. We remain available to support the organization as needed and are delighted to contribute to additional targeted initiatives along the way.

Your contribution is deeply felt and continues to guide us in foster care. The mindset, tools, and frameworks have been invaluable both personally and professionally. We use them daily—whether in small ways, like asking ‘What does this data tell me?’ or in bigger questions about how to apply it moving forward.”
